Superior Concrete

Benchmark designed new offices and a new state-of-the-art concrete mixing facility for Superior Concrete, a subsidiary of Old Castle Concrete pre-casters.

Since Superior Concrete’s new corporate office and batch plant adjoined an existing batch plant, Benchmark created a customized design solution utilizing the Murox® Building System.

The new batch plant where the concrete is mixed was designed to accommodate ten and twenty ton bridge cranes for lifting large pre-cast structures. Benchmark also coordinated the design of a cement storage bin and aggregate loading area.

Benchmark chose the Murox® pre-engineered building system for its high quality, flexibility, and ability to accommodate both office and manufacturing spaces and to seamlessly blend new and existing structures into this large concrete complex.

Superior’s entire staff moved into new offices in the winter of 2001. All of the facilities are fully compliant with ADA requirements.
