Creekside Village Apartments – Brunswick, Maine

In August 2007, Benchmark completed Creekside Village located in Brunswick, Maine. Project partners included Brunswick Housing Authority, Avesta Housing, MaineHousing, Gawron Turgeon Architects, Bath Savings and Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston.

Creekside, a three-story apartment building, was completed by Benchmark for $4.1 million in August 2007. Designed for independent seniors age 55 and over, the forty-unit building totals 37,000 square feet, and is reserved for low-income households. Light congregate care services are offered by the Brunswick Housing Authority, as is transportation assistance, GED education, job placement, and a residents’ council. Smart-growth elements include land reuse, access to transportation, and energy-efficient design.
