Clearwater Bend Apartments – Westbrook, ME

Completed in the spring of 2008 for Community Housing of Maine (CHOM) and financed by MaineHousing, Clearwater Bend is a 23-unit, five building, workforce housing project.

Situated in a quiet, rural neighborhood, Clearwater blends seamlessly with its surrounding neighbors and provides cost efficient, comfortable, attractive housing.

Energy efficient features include Nu-Wool Cellulose Insulation®.  Nu-Wool® is a leading manufacturer of eco-friendly cellulose insulation. Made from recycled paper, Nu-Wool® can reduce heating and cooling costs by as much as 40%.

Completed in only 10 months, this is the second project that Benchmark has completed with CHOM and CWS Architects.

CHOM has grown to become the largest owner and developer of supportive housing in the state of Maine.
